Westminster Larger Catechism in modern English question number thirty-two:
Q. 32. How is the grace of God revealed in the second covenant?
A. The grace of God is revealed in the second covenant, first, by God freely providing and offering a Mediator to sinners, as well as life and salvation by Him; second, by requiring faith as the condition to unite them to Him, promising and giving His Holy Spirit to all His elect to work faith and all other saving graces in them; third, by His enabling them to accomplish all holy obedience as the evidence of the truth of their faith and thankfulness to God, as well as being the way in which He has appointed them to salvation.
