Westminster Larger Catechism in modern English question number fifty-three:
Q. 53. How was Christ exalted in His ascension?
A. In His ascension, Christ was exalted after His often appearing and conversing with his apostles after His resurrection, when He spoke to them about the things of the kingdom of God and commissioned them to preach the gospel to all nations. He was also exalted when, forty days after His resurrection, He, in our nature and as our Head triumphing over enemies, He visibly went up into the highest heavens to receive gifts for people, to raise our affections up to God, and to prepare a place for us there where He is and where He shall remain until His second coming at the end of the world.
I love the catechisms. There are so many wonderful truths in them.
Thanks for posting.
